Music is an artistic form of conveying message incorporating instrumental or vocal tone in structured and continuous manner.

Ghanaian music for the past decades was loaded with relevant lyrical contents which influence the life of most people positively. It is said that the type of music one listens to have influence on them either positively or negatively.

Listening to the music of likes of A.B Crentsil,Nana Ampadu, Adofo, Akosua Agyapong, Ben Brako, Pat Thomas, a few to mention, you will realize that their lyrical content of the music they composes talks about struggles of life and how to overcome them, have series of advice in it,helps shapes one life for a better tomorrow.

But now, it seems most Ghanaian music lacks relevant lyrical contents. All what these young artistes think about is the financial gains they make from the music and do not care about the influence their song have on the fans. Most of the songs produced this days is full of lustful, alcoholic acts which portrays in their music video.

Giving respect to young artistes like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kofi Kinaata for their good lyrical contents exhibited in most of their music. We would like to say that there is no genre of music known as gospel but rather the message you are spreading across through music is the gospel.

Stonebwoy

So any message sent through music by any artiste should be relevant and meaningful. This will enable your name to be remembered even if you die.
